Product Review: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water and Makeup Remover

Packaging: It comes in a 400 mL bottle, so I would say it’s plenty enough of product for about $6-$9. They also have a 100 mL bottles priced around $3 for those who want to try it first or are on a budget. Depending where you purchase the product will define the price. For example, I bought mine at Ulta and it was about $9. Garnier has made 3 different types of formulas for this line of skincare. Theirs a blue, green, and pink bottle cap to differentiate each formula. The blue bottle cap is the waterproof formula. The green bottle cap is meant for oily skin and the purification of your pores, and the pink bottle is the original formula. I purchased the pink bottle cap because it says it was for all skin types which made it easier for me to give it a go since my you guys all have different skin types. I thought it would of been best.

Formula: This formula was designed to cleanse the skin thoroughly and remove your makeup. Its for all skin types and is good for sensitive skin. It lifts dirt and makeup like a magnet. There is no need to rinse or rub harshly. Using it for eye makeup was so ideal because it took my mascara off easily. Side note: For best eye makeup removal, place pad on eye for a couple of seconds, wipe the makeup off and you will notice that majority of your makeup will be removed. It’s pretty amazing! Use this product, when you wake up to freshen up your skin and in the evening when removing your makeup. I recommend using this cleanser first and then a deep cleanser afterwards, because sometimes skin can still have dirt or oil residue and that can turn into a pimple! We don’t want that, so it’s best to deep cleanse and continue with the rest of your routine.

Fragrance, Color, and Texture: Their absolutely no fragrance, as well as, oil and alcohol on this product. The color and texture is the same as water.

Overall: This product has changed the makeup remover game. Before this I would use wipes and that would still not be good enough for my stubborn makeup. It has no oils or alcohol, so no acne or dry skin. It’s an amazing formula that I wish I knew what kind of chemistry came together to form such a harmless yet powerful creation. It’s refreshing, it does its job of cleansing so I would give this a high score in my book.

Product Review: Garnier Skin Active Moisture Rescue for Normal/ Combo Skin

Packaging:  For around $6-$9, the packing of this moisturizer is made of glass which is impressive. It’s impressive because usually any cosmetic with a glass container usually costs a bit more than one made from plastic. There is about 50 grams of gel-cream which should last about a couple of months if its applied according to the instructions. I’ve noticed a lot of products don’t come in large containers like Korean products do. I find that the difference is interesting maybe it’s the markets or preferences of each cultures customer. Whatever it is both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Formula: It’s a very refreshing moisturizer with a cooling effect that gives your face that cold quench it needs especially on those hot summer days. A moisturizer should help your skin bring life to it again after it being dry due to various of conditions. Pollution, stress, UV rays, lack of sleep can reduce the life and look of your skin. Wearing it day and night has decreased that dullness I had on my face that only other products would temporarily reduce it and then it would only revert to its initial state. It also has helped the texture on my skin only become smoother. It’s claimed to lock in moisture for 24 hours and it has vitamin E and fruit water. It is oil-free and its most definitely a light weight formula. Which in my case is super important, the one thing I loathe the most is having a heavy weight cream or moisturizer applied to my face.

Fragrance, Color, and Texture: I must be completely honest but the fragrance is not something I favor. It does not pleasant to me however I’ve had others smell it and they say that they do like it. I will leave it to you guys to decide on whether you like the fragrance or not. The color is this beautiful light teal color. The texture is like a gel that dissolves into the skin like water. It’s very comfortable and not sticky at all.

Overall: A million times Yes!!! I love the ingredients, the cold effect and it really does keep your skin very moisturized. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has dry skin or acne issues. There is also another moisturizer specifically for dry skin that is a light pink color which benefit the crowd of people with really dry skin.

Product Review: Yes To Tomatoes Skin Clearing Facial Mask

Packaging: The facial mask comes in a small container about 5.9 cm wide and 5 cm tall. Small enough to carry around if necessary for travel or spending a weekend at a friend’s home. I really like the basic colors they used on the labeling and the basic run around of the product. I didn’t see the ingredient list on the product so that is a bummer. On the other hand, the brand is cruelty-free which is amazing!

Formula: This brand is known for being organic which I praise them for because so far natural products are what have helped me achieve great skin. This formula is paraben-free, so it’s best to follow the recommended expiration date of 12 months on the label for the best skin health. This product is recommended for oily skin and it helps to brighten your complexion. After trying it out for the first time, I noticed that it’s best to apply it to a damp face so that it can help the cream move around the face. That way you can create that thin layer that you need. When it dried up and I removed it with a damp washcloth my skin looked a little red. I do recommend being gentle with the washcloth because your skin is a delicate surface and you want to avoid stretching it or scratching it roughly. Lastly, I showered my face with cold water. This should help close the pores and aid them after a deep cleansing.

Fragrance, Color, and Texture: The scent is hard to describe but it smells like organic fragrant clay. The color is a white/beige tone. The texture is a thick consistency that can be hard to move around but you can work it around the skin.

Overall: It is a great product and it has helped with my dull and uneven skin tone. It thoroughly cleanses, calms acne and helps prevent acne. This facial mask is a bit difficult to apply, however, you can adapt to its formula. My recommendation is to leave the face a little damp to let the mask move around. This product did so well for me. I really want to get my hands on their other product lines.
